Rancho Bernardo Kitchen Remodel
A complete kitchen remodel transforms an existing 1960’s kitchen into an eclectic and vibrantly modern space. Seeking a completely new kitchen design, both aesthetically and structurally, the client was inspired by her many travels, embracing her eclectic taste and vibrant personality.
The kitchen was re-oriented to provide better functionality and a more effective use of the space. The counter was extended the length of the kitchen and includes room for a computer area. An inset niche and wine storage is integrated in the rock clad wall and an efficient layout of hi-gloss veneered cabinetry maximizes storage.
Bright colors and modern textures echo the artistic interest of the client and bring life and inspiration to the space. The surrounding glass subway tiles mimic the hand blown glass pendants over the island seating area. The artful dynamic of the kitchen creates a focal point for dining with family and entertaining with friends.
Finally, new windows, ceiling, lighting, flooring and additional design elements complete the dream kitchen the homeowner envisioned, and resulted in an artistic and functional modern space.
